Welcome to the weekend!
Christian HallHi there!

This week, cable customers on Virgin Media were given a shock when their Sky channels, such as Sky One and Sky Sports News, disappeared. Sky and Virgin Media failed to agree a deal, leading to the channels being pulled, yet ISP Tiscali could cash in on the Sky/Virgin spat. Tiscali has just launched a combined TV-on-demand and broadband service, which offers 2Mbps broadband with no download limits, free weekend landline calls and 30 digital TV channels, with another 100 hours of on-demand content available for £19.99 per month.

Google is to introduce a new service to AdWords in April that will enable clients to block certain users from seeing their ads. It's being seen as another weapon in the fight against click fraud (where website operators click on ads on their own websites to boost revenue).

Finally, Google has added real-time traffic data to its mapping service. The data is provided for major highways and is colour-coded to signify traffic conditions. Green means no congestion, yellow is for minor hold-ups, and red means serious problems. It's currently only available for major US cities.

Have a great weekend!
