Welcome to the weekend!
Christian HallHi there!

This week, Microsoft released Expression Web, a tool for designing user interfaces, and is offering the product as an upgrade to Microsoft FrontPage.

Expression Web is part of a series of tools designed to tackle the Adobe–dominated website creation market. Microsoft also posted a public beta of Expression Blend, its Windows–specific design software. The third product is Expression Design, a tool for creating logos and animations. These three products will feature in Expression Studio, which is set to ship in the second quarter of 2007.

Montreal–based wireless messaging company Oz (www.oz.com) is extending the functionality of social networks such as Flickr, Bebo, MySpace, YouTube and Blogger for mobiles. The launch is aimed at phone companies and handset makers offering mobile email and IM from MSN, AOL and Yahoo. The client will start appearing on mobile phones in early 2007.

Finally, if a million wasn’t enough for him, Million Dollar Homepage entrepreneur Alex Tew has launched a remarkably similar project at www.pixelotto.com.

Have a great weekend.
