YouTube has launched Test Tube, an 'incubator' to try out new ideas, much like Google Labs. The first new feature to be tested, Streams, enables users to chat about YouTube videos in real time.

EMI Records has partnered music social networking site Last.fm to launch an online user-generated music mapping system to help users discover new music according to their tastes. The TuneGlue Musicmap uses data from Last.fm to make accurate music recommendations to fans. The user-generated music map links consumers to recommended artists, websites and retailers based on personal preferences. Now there's no excuse to be stuck for a last-minute Christmas present!

Merry Christmas!
