EDITORIAL INTRO FOR ISSUE 170

“We try to stay ahead of the game, and provide you with the features you’ve asked for”

I’m currently watching the first season of Jericho, a TV series with a post-apocalyptic theme, which has caused quite a stir in the last 12 months. Sadly, it was cancelled at the end of its first season. Pre-internet, that would have been that, but fans orchestrated a campaign to reinstate the show. Jericho’s online army sent CBS more than 6,000 emails, and, as a symbol of what fans thought of the decision, 50,000 pounds of nuts! Result? The show now has a second season. That’s what I call people power.

At .net, we try to stay ahead of the game, and provide you with the features you’ve asked for (take this issue’s security feature, for example). But we know that it’s easy to take our eye off the ball, too. So, rather than send us tons of nuts, why not drop us an email with anything you think we’re overlooking. Because, without you guys, there’s no show!
