EDITORIAL INTRO FOR ISSUE 184
“I think I can say with supreme confidence that you’ll never see me on Twitter again”
My name’s Dan, and I’m a Twitter addict. It’s taken me months to fully accept my addiction – despite all the warning signs being glaringly apparent – but I feel that by sharing this with you, I’m already setting myself on the right path. Acceptance is the first step to recovery, and as Lao Tzu once said, the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.
At first, I signed in maybe once a week, but it didn’t seem to have any effect on me. I put it down to a strong constitution. However, over time, the hunger increased, to the point where I’ve been using every day! But knowing that there are people out there who care has really helped. So I think I can say with supreme confidence that you’ll never see me on Twitter again. I won’t be using it to keep in touch with friends, carry out valuable research, or stay up to date with the hottest memes. Not me. No siree Bob. I’m just saying “No!”.
