EDITORIAL INTRO FOR ISSUE 202

“Flash developers can look forward to a number of exciting new features in Adobe CS5”

On 12 April we attended the launch of Adobe CS5, which has got a lot of designers and developers very excited (and, yes, we know there are those of you who’d rather walk over hot coals than use an Adobe product, but I digress).

Much as we love print, when it comes to showcasing new features in a piece of software we actually prefer the medium of video, so we’ve commissioned a series of short previews. Produced and presented by Paul Wyatt, these videos cover Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Flash Catalyst. By now, you may already be aware of some of the most vaunted new features, but in Flash Catalyst there’s an entirely new product.

Developed to aid the creation of user interfaces and rich internet apps, Catalyst will go head-to-head with Microsoft’s Sketchflow, and Flash developers can also look forward to a number of exciting new features. You can find these videos on our YouTube channel at youtube.com/webdesigntv, or search for ‘Web Design TV’ in iTunes. Enjoy!
